Many bodies, many plans

These days, health is on everyone's lips. Some people take action, signing up for whatever they believe is a healthy plan and lifestyle.  Others have given up altogether — perhaps because they tried and it didn't work, or because they couldn't sustain a routine that took a toll on their emotions, performance and sleep. And some simply aren't interested.

Theo looked closely at this trend and saw that while many people were putting in real effort to be healthy, they had missed the most important thing inside themselves: balance. What works for one person may only partly work for another — and could actually throw someone else off entirely.

Theo knew from experience that people respond differently to food, and that a plan which only partly worked was not enough.  Even when people managed to lose some weight and look very healthy, they couldn't hide from themselves that their balance had come at a very high price. The result was often lack of sleep, disturbed emotions, an overactive mind or a feeling of depression, among other things.

So for Theo, offering the same standard healthy meal to everyone made no sense. It was time, he felt, to raise awareness of how important balance is in our lives, and to bring to light one of the oldest sciences on the subject: the science of the elements and how they affect us.

Our body is made up of different elements — fire, water, air, earth and ether — in proportions that vary from one person to another. The combination of all these elements forms an equation that determines how balanced or imbalanced a person is.

It works much like the plant kingdom: a cactus, for example, needs less water than a tropical plant. Water both with the same amount and one will die while the other thrives. The same holds true for us — each of us has a distinct equation that determines what our body needs as a whole, and at particular moments, to adapt to changes in the environment.

Put everything into one big equation and we can work out what kind of food and how much water our body needs. And Theo knows well that what brings balance to one person will have a very different effect on another.

Theo, together with his team and the Eupepsia clinic, offers guidance to anyone ready to set out on a journey toward balance in their life — so they can experience joy and share that joy with the people they love.
